The selection of Magnesium Science and Technology Award—2025 Annual Award is launched
The Magnesium Science & Technology Award was founded by the International Mg Society (IMS), the Journal of Magnesium and Alloys (JMA), the Caixing foundation, and other organizations with great significance. The Magnesium Science & Technology Award is categorized as the Grand Award and the Annual Award. The Annual Award aims to recognize individuals or teams who have made significant contributions to the field of magnesium science and technology over the past year, with the goal of promoting advancements in this discipline and attracting more scientists and engineers to engage in the research, development, and application of magnesium and its alloys. The 2025 Annual Award is officially launched, and the relevant details and requirements are announced as follows:
1. Brief introduction ofAnnual Award
(1) The 2025 Annual Award evaluates the achievement from June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025.
(2) The Annual Award includes:
I Magnesium Award for Person of the Year，
II Magnesium Award for Youth of the Year,
III Magnesium Award for Excellent Paper of theYear,
IV Magnesium Award for Excellent Thesis of theYear,
V Magnesium Award for Innovative Process of theYear,
VI Magnesium Award for Innovative Product of theYear,
VII Magnesium Award for Standard of the year,
VIII Magnesium Award for Special Contribution onInnovation of the Year.
(3) The preliminary candidates for Awards I to VI are generated by recommendation.
(4) Detailed conditions of each Award can be found in the statutes.
2. Recommended methods andrequirements
(1) Candidates consists of expert recommendation and self recommendation.If a candidate is nominated through both expert recommendation and self recommendation,the duplication will not be counted twice.
(2) When the experts recommend, the expert fill in the recommendation form.
(3) For self recommendation, the applicant fills in the Self Recommendation Form (Attachment3), and provides the Recommendation Letter (Attachment 4) from two professorswith signature (or experts with equivalent professionaltitles). These documents should be submitted to the designated email. Eachindividual may only self-recommend for one award.
(4) These Forms should be filled in English.
(5) The deadline for the recommendation material is 22:00 on Sep. 15th, 2025.
