Impact factor of Journal of Magnesium and Alloys ranks top 1 in Metallurgy & Metallurgical Engineering Category worldwide

On June 30, 2021, Clarivate Analytics released 2020Journal Citation Report. The impact factor of Journal of Magnesium and Alloys (JMA, ISSN: 2213-9567) reached 10.088 (IF:10.088), ranks top 1 in Metallurgy & Metallurgical Engineering Category, JCR Q1. The impact factor of JMA has increased rapidly from 7.115 to 10.088, surpassing ACTA Materialia, which is a leading international journal in materials and metallurgical engineering. JMA has become one of the most influential academic journals on metallurgy and metallic materials in the world.



JMA was founded in 2013 by National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys of Chongqing University and Chinese Materials Research Society(C-MRS). Prof. Fusheng Pan from Chongqing University serves as editor-in-chief while Prof. Xiaodong Peng as executive associate editor in chief. JMA has received strong support from Chongqing University, China Association for Science and Technology, famous Mg centers and KeAi publishing company since its establishment. The academic quality and influence of the journal continue to increase. In 2019, JMA was successfully selected as one of the 22 leading journals of the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan" in China. It is the only national leading journal in the field of materials and metallurgy in China.



JMA is an open access journal and publishes the the oretical and experimental studies on magnesium in the field of science and engineering. JMA covers all aspects of magnesium, magnesium alloys, and their products.
