On June 20, 2019, Clarivate Analytics released 2018 Journal Citation Report. The impact factor of Journal of Magnesium and Alloys(JMA) (Elsevier, ISSN: 2213-9567) reached 4.523 (IF:4.523),ranks the fifth from 76 SCI-indexed journals in the category of Metallurgy and Metallurgical Engineering worldwide, the quartile is JCR Q1. The high IF indicates that Journal of Magnesium and Alloys has become one of the most influential international academic journals in metallurgy and materials. It’s also an important breakthrough in the international academic influence of Chongqing University.

Journal of Magnesium and Alloys (JMA) was founded in 2013by National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys of Chongqing University and Chinese Committee for Magnesium and its Application. Prof. Fusheng Pan from Chongqing University serves as editor-in-chief while Prof. Xiaodong Peng as executive deputy associate editor. The editorial board consists of well-known experts in the field of magnesium alloys from more than10 countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, Russia, etc. The editors of JMA editorial office include Dr. Yan Yang, and Dr. Jiangfeng Song who have overseas education experience.
